The Givendale Stabiliser herd has its home on the picturesque rolling hills on the Yorkshire Wolds. overlooking the Vale of York.

The Givendale Stabiliser herd is owned by the Rymer family, part‑owners of the Stabiliser Cattle Company. The farm holds a special place in the breed’s history: it was here, in 1999, that the very first Stabiliser embryos were born in the UK, marking a pivotal moment in establishing the breed on British soil.

Today, under the management of James Simpson, the farm runs around 200 high‑health Givendale Stabiliser cows. As a Multiplier herd, its primary focus is producing top‑tier breeding genetics, with the very best animals contributing to ongoing genetic improvement through elite breeding stock and AI semen. The herd has long upheld rigorous health standards, being BVD accredited since 2015, Neospora monitored, IBR Marker vaccinated, leptospirosis vaccinated and Johnes Level 1 accredited since 2011.

Each year, Givendale Stabilisers import 20 male sexed Stabiliser embryos from the USA, ensuring a continual flow of new elite bloodlines and high‑value genetics into the herd. Givendale Stabiliser semen is distributed nationwide through Cogent, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of bovine genetics.

Givendale at Wold Farm have a NFE Unit on the farm with 8 feed bunks, it was originally 16 but half of it has been made mobile to enable more data collection to enhance the breed.

Calving late February/ March the herd should be will through calving in April, so there will be plenty of young calves on the ground to see along with their dams.

Also on farm will be the fattening bulls, the herd sires, replacement heifers along with  the remaining Stabiliser heifers with breeding potential to sell and the yearling Stabiliser breeding bulls that are available to sell into new and existing herds.
