Topic: Closing the Loop on HRD Testing: In house end-to-end actionable testing.
Details: HRD status is a key biomarker for guiding PARP inhibitor therapy in ovarian cancer, yet many laboratories still rely on send-away testing, adding delays, cost, and loss of clinical control. We present an in-house approach combining shallow whole-genome sequencing with automated genomic instability scoring and BRCA variant detection in a single run, compatible with existing sequencing infrastructure.
Beyond the bioinformatics pipeline, we explore how clinical interpretation services close the last mile, turning raw genomic output into actionable, clinician-ready reports. As HRD testing indications expand into breast and other tumour types, accessible in-house solutions with integrated interpretation support will be critical to meet demand without compromising turnaround or quality.
