One Stop Clinic for Kidney Biopsies: The Cambridge Kidney One-Stop Mass Investigation Clinic (Ckosmic)
2:00 PM - 2:25 PMAbstract
Renal tumour biopsies are increasingly part of the patient pathway, enabling histological tumour assessment to inform the decision to manage through active surveillance or definitive treatment . Adding a biopsy procedure to the patient pathway potentially introduces a delay. The Cambridge Kidney One-Stop Mass Investigation Clinic (Ckosmic) was introduced to provide a rapid biopsy assessment by confocal microscopy, enabling same-day treatment planning. This presentation discusses the process and experience of introducing this technology to our clinical practice.

Spotlight on Interesting Cases
2:25 PM - 3:05 PMAbstract
Tumours in the adrenal gland can present a challenging differential diagnosis with a variety of primary and metastatic malignancies commonly found at this site. I will present a case of an adrenal tumour that required clinico-pathological correlation and molecular testing to reach the final and unusual diagnosis.

LaserSAFE: The Future of Intraoperative Margin Assessment in Radical Prostatectomies
3:05 PM - 3:30 PMAbstract
Nerve-sparing surgery for prostate cancer is not currently available for all eligible patients due to inaccessibility of Neurosafe frozen section in a wider setting. This presentation will discuss the use of Histolog confocal laser microscopy in intraoperative prostate margin assessment, covering the technique and some of the research findings to date to highlight its potential role in widening access to nervesparing surgery and ultimately reducing side effects associated with prostatectomies.
