Returning to the importance of grasslands in sustainable ruminant systems, in this session we will focus on their pivotal role in food security. The aim is to understand the wider environmental and economic impact of novel grazing systems, including mixed farming systems. Specific topic we will explore include improving efficiency in grassland management and the use of novel forages, both in pastures and when ensiled, to improve livestock productivity.
