Delegates will have the opportunity to visit Henry Walsh’s Farm, a technically efficient pasture based dairy herd in County Galway and member of Kerry Group Co-op. Henry works closely with the Teagasc dairy extension team and delegates will see and hear about modern innovations in grazing practice as well as dairy cow nutrition, breeding, fertility and health management. In particular, the economic and environmental challenges of profitable pasture based dairy production systems will be discussed on the farm as well as national initiatives to support the Irish dairy industry to meet these challenges
