In the context of the so-called “replication crisis”, many scientists have argued that large-scale collaborations are the way forward. In these collaborations, scientists from labs around the world work together to collect data and answer critical questions. At SARMAC 2025, we hope to kickstart such a collaboration aging applied psychologists. The first part of this hands-on workshop will provide practical guidance on how to set up multi-lab studies, including how/when to obtain funding and tips for project management. The second part of the workshop will focus on identifying a SARMAC-relevant topic that attendees will develop together. During the workshop, you will work together to select the key research questions, lay out a roadmap for the project, and identify key roles. As well as being fun and innovative, this workshop will support early career researchers to develop collaborations with members of SARMAC. Ideally attendees will leave the workshop with both new skills and new collaborators!
