Participants on this half-day Technical Tour will travel approximately 1 hour by bus to engage in a farm tour. They will gain insights into the daily running of an Irish, family-owned suckler beef and sheep farm in the west of Ireland. The farmers, one of whom is a Home Economics lecturer at ATU St Angelas, Sligo, will accompany participants on a walking tour of this busy farm. Particpants will hear and see firsthand about a typical working day managing the farm, in addition to hearing about the latest techniques and technology which help Irish farmers advance in the 21st-century. Tea/Coffee and refreshments included.
