11.A AI and Integrated Care: Game Changer or Distraction?
Tuesday, April 14, 2026
16:45 - 18:00
Hall 1 (Auditorium)
Overview
Artificial intelligence is reshaping conversations across every part of health and care, but its real value for integrated care is still contested. This session brings together researchers, policymakers, clinicians, and lived-experience voices to explore where AI can genuinely support better decisions, reduce workload, or improve access, and where it risks becoming a costly distraction. The discussion will look at practical use cases, the evidence behind current claims, the limits of algorithmic tools in complex social systems, and the ethical and equity questions that follow. The aim is to separate promise from assumption and consider how AI can be introduced in ways that strengthen relationships, judgement, and continuity of care rather than replace them.
