Biography
Ghada El-Hajj Fuleihan, MD, MPH, FRCP is tenured Professor of Medicine, Physician-Scientist, at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Beirut, Lebanon. She is founding Director of the Calcium Metabolism and Osteoporosis Program (CaMOP), WHO Collaborating Center for Metabolic Bone Disorders, and of the Scholars in HeAlth Research Program (SHARP) at AUB. Dr El-Hajj Fuleihan obtained her MD degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB), completed residency and fellowship training at the New England Deaconess and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston. She holds a master-degree in Public Health, Clinical Effectiveness concentration, from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her laboratory spearheads clinical trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, generating evidence on the pathophysiology, prevention, and treatment of hypovitaminosis D, osteoporosis, and other metabolic bone disorders. She closely collaborates with international organizations (ASBMR, the Endocrine Society, WHO, the IOF, and ISCD), to generate evidence-based clinical care pathways and guidelines https://www.aub.edu.lb/fm/CaMOP/Pages/Publications.aspx . Dr El-Hajj Fuleihan is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and the recipient of many awards, including the John Bilezikian Leadership Award of the International Society of Clinical Densitometry, the Endocrine Society International Excellence in Endocrinology award, and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Merit award.

Biography
Phyllis Kim, MBChB, MPH, FAMS is a public health physician, Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore, and Head of the Evidence-to-Practice Office at the Agency for Care Effectiveness (ACE). She leads Singapore’s national efforts in clinical guideline prioritisation, development, and implementation (ACE Clinical Guidances), ensuring alignment with broader health system strategies and care transformation goals.
She previously served in key divisions of Singapore’s Ministry of Health, developing policies across specialist services, preventive health, and communicable disease response. Prior to that, she held roles in the pharmaceutical industry and early-phase clinical research, where she also designed and implemented emergency response training for trial staff. She received her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Birmingham, UK, holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the National University of Singapore, and obtained specialist accreditation in Public Health in Singapore. Her clinical background includes internal medicine and emergency medicine, with early training and practice in Wolverhampton NHS Trust, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.
Her current work focuses on strengthening ACE’s national framework for guideline development, implementation, and impact evaluation. Key areas of focus include embedding ACGs into national care protocols, engaging clinical leaders to influence practice behaviour, and piloting the integration of value-based care indicators with guidelines as the foundation.

Biography
Prof. Vladimir Cerny is a leading expert in anaesthesiology, perioperative medicine, and intensive care, during his career was working as a consultant physician in the USA, KSA and Canada. He serves as Chairman and Professor at Dept. of Anaesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Intensive Care at Masaryk Hospital, Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic), Professor at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, Adjunct Professor at at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. Current appointments include also the role of Clinical Deputy at the National Institute of Quality and Excellence in Healthcare, under the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, President of the Czech Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (second term), Member of the ESAIC Ethics Committee and Forensic expert in anesthesiology and intensive care. Prof. Cerny is also a researcher with numerous peer-reviewed articles (h-index: 27). Since 2007, he has co-authored all European guidelines on major trauma bleeding and was recently invited to contribute to their 7th edition update. He also chaired the Scientific Committee for the World Congress of Anesthesiology (Prague, 2021). During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served as Deputy Minister of Health of the Czech Republic and National Coordinator for Intensive Care. In 2024, he was recently appointed by the Ministry of Health to lead a working group focused on reforming and restructuring the Czech intensive care system.
