Clear, compact & clickable: An Interactive Workshop on Visual Clinical Guideline Presentation Tool
Abstract
Background:
Dissemination and presentation remain some of the most crucial yet challenging steps of the guideline development process. Complex underlying data must be presented for information and transparency, but at the same time, it must remain clear and understandable for diverse interest-holders. The ever-growing use of network meta-analysis (NMA) has made this endeavour even more challenging.
Evidence Prime, in collaboration with the ACP, has proposed an interactive, digital solution that can automatically create comprehensive summaries of guidelines - Visual Clinical Guidelines (VCG).
The aim of this workshop is to present participants with the automated VCG creator and gather user feedback for further development.
Objectives:
To engage participants in hands-on testing of the GRADEpro VCG module for NMA data presentation and dissemination
To collect structured feedback on usability, functionality, and applicability of this tool
Description:
Participants will experience the workflow of VCG creation using the new GRADEpro module. The workshop will highlight advanced features that address common challenges in guideline presentation and dissemination. Through guided exercises, attendees will provide feedback on tool functionality.
Format:
Interactive Demonstration: A comprehensive walkthrough of the VCG creator showcasing data import capabilities, content editor, and a visual presentation format
Hands-on Testing: Participants will work with sample datasets to test the tool
Structured Feedback Session: Using standardized evaluation forms, participants will provide detailed feedback
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Small groups will address specific challenges in VCG and explore how the new tools might offer solutions
For optimal participation, attendees should bring their own laptops.
