Thousands of children, many with medical conditions and in need of urgent attenetion were displaced and could no longer receive hospital care in Ukraine. Prof Jarek Szydlowski and Dr. Maryana Cherkes were at the heart of these events. The effect on the medical community, including ORL specialists in Ukraine and the neighbouring countries, was devastating and made for unprecedented clinical and humanitarian problems. Prof Szydlowski and Dr. Cherkes will share their experiences and show how the ORL community came together to manage the continuing ongoing trauma.
